Children's Cancer Prevention

The C3PC Research Foundation's Department of Cancer Prevention and Management addresses variables that might influence a child's risk of developing cancer from before conception to young adolescence.  This setting demonstrates the necessity of collaborating to tackle cancer causes and consequences.

With time, several variables combine to produce cancer. We can preserve the wellness of newborns and young kids today and lower their risks of developing cancer in the long term.

Fostering Habits That Could Reduce Cancer Risk

  • Obtaining adequate folic acid when pregnant is essential.

  • Breast-feeding.

  • Receiving sufficient regular exercise while you're a kid.

  • Providing all kids and families with secure, healthy, and caring interactions and settings.

Getting Rid of Dangerous Exposures.

  • Preventing the use of alcohol and smoking when pregnant.

  • Preventing children from being exposed to secondary smoking.

  • Lowering traffic-related smog vulnerability.

  • Keeping cancer-causing substances out of the environment.

  • Using less radiation for various medical exams, such as CT (computed tomography) scanning.

  • Check out whether anyone in your lineage has been exposed to diethylstilbestrol (DES).

  • Keeping children from having negative formative experiences.
